SIZING:

Our fingers tend to swell and relax during different temperatures and times of the day. If you feel as though your ring is too tight, cool your hands under cold water and try your ring on again. Always allow at least 3 days to adjust to wearing your new piece, especially those with a wider band.

How can I find out my ring size?

As each item from Studio Zali is made to order, we have provided multiple ways below to insure you are able to provide your correct size for your handmade item. We recommend trying at least 2 of the below options to confirm your right size.

Option 1 - Circumference Ring String Measurement:

Instructions: Using a piece of string, wrap the piece around the base of the intended finger, and then mark where the string overlaps. The length of the string measured in mm is the circumference of your finger. Once finding this measurement, use our conversion chart below to find the corresponding ring size. If the size of your finger below the knuckle drastically differs in size from the knuckle itself, measure your knuckle also and select a size that falls more in the middle of these two measurements.

Option 2 - Inside Diameter Ring Measurement:

Option 3 - Visit a Local Jeweller:
Find your local jeweller and have them size your finger or an existing ring that fits correctly. It is also a good idea to size all fingers for your own future reference if choosing this option.

Option 4 - Purchase Our Ring Sizer :
Purchase one of our reusable and adjustable Ring Sizer for $5 (including free Aus Shipping). This will allow you to see exactly the size you are after and you can also keep if for future ring purchases for yourself or friends. Please be sure to follow the correct steps sent with the sizer.

Deciding between 2 Sizes?
- Sizing up by 1/2 a size can be done prior to creation if mentioned during checkout. Or send an email in the first 24 hours with your oder number to info.studiozali@gmail.com
- Sizing up after receiving your item by 1/2 or 1 full size, can be done for you (depending on the ring style) at Studio Zali if requested in the first 15 days of receiving the item. $25 fee + postage. If you are in a rush, a local jeweller may also be able to help for a low fee.

How do I care for my item?

Please take extra care when cleaning your jewellery. Do not soak or use rough or corse materials as you may stain and or scratch your item and/or stones. Only use warm water with a small amount of soap to clean your jewellery. A soft bristle tooth brush can be used softly to reach tight areas. A metal specific polishing cloth can also be used to rejuvenate your piece, which comes included inside your velvet Studio Zali pouch. Colour can slightly change over time when items are left unworn or exposed to perfumes, oils, creams and moisture. This is not a fault but instead the natural manner of these precious metals. With the gentle recommended cleaning options above, you can keep your items in their original state. Although your item is made from a precious metal, it is soft enough to be scratched, scuffed and dinted if worn when participating in sport or high impact activities. In this case we recommend removing and storing it safely your Studio Zali Pouch. Want a professional clean? email Studio Zali info.studiozali@gmail.com and arrange postage to have your item cleaned and sent back for $20 + Postage.

How to wear your Studio Zali Cuff

The Studio Zali Pillar Cuff is slightly adjustable but should not be continuously bent open and shut. This will weaken sections of the metal over time and can cause the metal to snap.
See the below video on how to correctly slide your cuff on and sustain its shape.

Is Studio Zali ethically conscious?

Every aspect of a Studio Zali piece has been ethically and environmentally considered at Studio Zali. We aim to continuously research and learn better ways to reach our sustainable goals.
Production:
Studio Zali is slow produced. Each item is designed and handmade by Zali herself and is unique from one another. A local Melbourne caster also contributes to the production process. Items are made-to-order to prevent the overflow of unwanted stock and wasted materials.
Metal:
Whenever possible, solid recycled Sterling Silver and Solid 9ct Yellow Gold are is used to create our pieces. Studio Zali aims to use only solid precious metals, no plating, as this eventually wears away and changes the look of the original creation.
Stones:
Lab Grown Gems are used. (Not to be confused with being ‘fake’ as they are chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined gems minus the mining).
Packaging:
Whenever possible, Studio Zali uses compostable mailer bags and recycled cardboard boxes. Inside these items your piece is protected within a soft velvet pouch .

Natural VS Lab-Grown Gemstones?

While we have great appreciation for natural beauty, don’t be scared of the term “lab-grown/ lab-created or nano” gemstones. Quality lab-grown gemstones are not to be confused with low -quality glass/plastic replicates or as being ‘fake’, as they are chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined gemstone.

Being a forward-thinking brand, Studio Zali is continuously researching and learning the best and most ethical ways to move forward and be a part of a more sustainable future. Lab-grown gemstones are currently being explored and used in our pieces whenever possible (and always noted in descriptions) as a more sustainable option to mined gems. While Studio Zali understands that there may be different opinions on gemstone usage, this decision to use lab-created gems is a personal choice and one that supports Studio Zali’s business ethics.
